As President Cyril Ramaphosa prepares to announce a special team to come up with solutions to Eskom’s problems, CEO Phakamani Hadebe, had detailed steps which he believes can make the power utility viable again.
Eskom is hoping that by the end of March next year it would have done enough to mitigate its financial and power challenges facing the power utility.
Eskom has received a R1.5 billion loan injection from the French Development Agency to support the power utility’s transmission efforts.
Eskom says the probability of load shedding remains low until January the 13th – but it’s warned that this could change if there are heavy rains.
