President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the 8th Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture at the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town on Monday evening.
Tutu, who turned 87 on Sunday has asked Ramaphosa to reflect on restorative justice – almost 20 years after he gave former president, Nelson Mandela, the first five volumes of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Final Report.
It remains uncertain whether Tutu will attend the lecture as he was reportedly undergoing tests this past weekend in Cape Town hospital.
