Three younger siblings ganged up and allegedly assaulted the brother with planks and stabbed him to death with a screwdriver.

Three men have been arrested after they allegedly killed their older brother during a fight at their home in Protea Glen, Soweto.

It’s understood that the victim returned home from a local shebeen and began assaulting his younger brothers.

The three younger siblings then ganged up, and allegedly assaulted him with planks and stabbed him to death with a screwdriver.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on a charge of murder.

Police spokesperson Vincent Mashiteng says the three brothers aged between 17 and 21 years old where fighting with their older brother who is about 30 years old.

He says: “According to them, the older brother was harassing them, fighting with them and they assaulted him with wooden planks and a screwdriver.”
