Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sentencing proceedings in the murder trial of a North West billionaire businessman, Wandile Bozwana will resume on Monday morning in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

This after it was adjourned numerous times since the accused were found guilty of murder last year.

It was recently postponed again due to the unavailability of some of the accused’s legal representatives.

Vusi ‘Khekhe’ Mathibela, Sipho Hudla, Robert Mutapa and Bonginkosi Khumalo were arrested in 2015 for Bozwana’s murder.

Bozwana was killed in a hail of bullets at the Garsfontein intersection, east of Pretoria. His business partner Mpho Baloyi escaped with multiple gunshot wounds.

The matter has taken five years to wrap up.

Last year, High Court Judge Papi Mosopa lambasted the conduct of the defence counsel in the Wandile Bozwana murder case, after the defence requested a further postponement of the sentencing procedure.
