Reading Time: 2 minutes

Political party Rise Mzansi will be hosting a three-day People’s Manifesto Convention at Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg.

Key policies will be discussed and will subsequently form part of its manifesto.

800 delegates will be in attendance including civil society organisations, business and academia.

The convention comes after the party unveiled its six policy pillars last week which include economic justice and inclusivity, governance, nation building, climate change, family and community.

The newly formed party which is now registered with the Independent Electoral commission (IEC) has been launching mobilisation campaigns across the country ahead of next year’s polls and hope to bring about change in the country’s political landscape.

Meanwhile, the party is hoping for a seat at the table after the 2024 elections.

Founded in 2022, the party is optimistic about having half a million volunteers across the country by May 2024.
