Ramaphosa describes Duarte as an extraordinary woman of the movement

The  African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa has described the party’s late deputy secretary-general Jessie Duarte as an extraordinary woman of the movement, who was committed to improving the lives of ordinary people.

He was among ANC members, including the Deputy President Paul Mashatile, who attended Duarte’s wreath-laying ceremony
at the Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg.

Duarte died a year ago at the age of 68 years after a battle with cancer.
