The African National Congress (ANC) in the North West says it accepts the decision by its provincial chairperson, Supra Mahumapelo, to exit his position as the North West premier.
In a statement issued late on Tuesday night, the party in the province says it is proud of Mahumapelo of having introduced the five concretes to implement the National Development Plan (NDP).
The statement by the ANC follows confirmation by Mahumapelo that he will resign as the head of the province.
Mahumapelo is expected to make a formal announcement during a media conference in Mahikeng.
He told SABC News on Tuesday that there are issues that need to be clarified.
