Motorists are being advised to exercise caution across the country’s roads as cold and wet weather conditions persist throughout the day.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-20s throughout South Africa.
Meteorologist, Sihle Kunene says Gauteng rain is expected to continue and move towards Mpumalanga and most of the eastern parts and KwaZulu-Natal.
In the Eastern Cape, there will be early morning showers.
Kunene says: “Durban will have cloudy conditions, Northern Cape will see partly cloudy skies and fog patches which will persist for quite some time.”
“Severe thunderstorms are expected over the central interior and we may see hail and damaging winds on the interior of the Free State and parts of the North West.”
