Free State Premier Mxolisi Dukwana has described the former Premier Beatrice Marshoff as a firm but humble leader who wasn’t scared of taking tough decisions.

Dukwana was paying tribute to Marshoff during a provincial official funeral that took place in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.

The 65-year-old passed on last weekend at the Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital in Soweto.

Dukwana has urged the provincial leaders, to emulate Marshoff by not being scared of making tough decisions in their respective line of duty.

“There is nothing problematic as the leader who can’t take a decision; it doesn’t matter if the decision is wrong, take the decision, and we believe that we have also learned also from our mother, that she was firm in taking decisions. Once she believed that she was correct, she would take a decision. I’m asking all of you leaders who are here today. This is a lonely job, it is a difficult job to be a leader, but what makes it easy, is when you love serving your people.”

Late former Free State Premier, Beatrice Marshoff, remembered:
