Banyana Banyana played to a one-all draw against Zambia.

Banyana Banyana were first to admit they did not have the best of games in their last group B match of the 2018 Women Africa Cup of Nations encounter against Zambia in Accra on Saturday night.

Although the result was enough to get them out of the group into the semi-final, head coach Desiree Ellis was not impressed with her players.

Banyana Banyana played to a one-all draw against Zambia.

Ellis says: “It is a good result, but not a great performance. It was very difficult to play when you don’t have players move the ball. Our movement off the ball was not great, so the player on the ball tended to dribble then loose the ball. We spoke about it at half time just to rotate the ball we didn’t do that.”

Banyana Banyana will have two days to prepare for the semi-final of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

They face Mali who finished second in group A.

Ellis says it’s a challenge they will have to manage. “If we can keep a clean sheet in the next match, then we will score a goal and we will win it but its going to take a huge effort. It is going to take super human effort with a little bit of tiredness settling in, with the travelling and everything else, we are going to have to look past that.”
