A six-year-old girl from Cacadu in the Eastern Cape has been placed in a place of safety after she was rescued from a house where she was allegedly abused.
The Department of Social Development and the police reacted to a report of the child being abused and found the child bound and injured in a house. She was taken for medical care.
Three suspects remain in custody after the court denied them bail. Social workers are now compiling a background report for the Children’s Court in line with the provisions of the Children’s Act.
