Hundreds of Red Ants have started demolishing shacks that were erected by land invaders at Brandkop farm near Lourierpark in Bloemfontein.
Police have used stun grenades against people whose shacks have been demolished after they threw stones at the Red Ants while the material were being loaded onto the trucks..

The land invaders started erecting shacks last Saturday.
Residents of Lourierpark protested on Tuesday against people who have occupied land near their suburb, saying that their safety is being compromised by the new occupants.
Twenty-two people who were arrested on Tuesday and last Saturday are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court today on charges of public violence and contravention of the court order.
The Red Ants have been accompanied by the police and Mangaung Metro Law Enforcement unit.
These ladies say they were told to leave their establishment when they came back their shack is being demolished.
