The issue of the economy will feature high in line with his campaign where he unveiled a ten point plan to implement the ANC’s economic policies.

Corruption will not be left out in light of the on-going debate on state capture, the parlous state of some of the country’s state owned enterprise and high unemployment.

Ramaphosa was the former President Nelson Mandela’s choice for Deputy Presidency in 1994, a wish that was not be fulfilled at the time.

On Wednesday he is expected to evoke the vision of the most revered statesman.
