The EFF says the result of the investigation into land invasions at Khayelitsha is already pre-determined.

There’s a heavy police presence in Marlboro near Alexandra north of Johannesburg where angry residents went on rampage and torched several houses.

Reports claim that angry residents went on the rampage after their homes, which were deemed illegal, were demolished by the Red Ant Security Relocation & Eviction Services.

Protesting residents have left rocks and the remains of burning tyres on the road heading to the Marlboro Gautrain Station.

Some residents are busy trying to salvage what remains of their belongings.

A police Nyala and vans are roaming the streets, however, the situation remains calm.
