Police are investigating the death of a 46-year-old security company employee who was gunned down in Malamulele, Limpopo, on Thursday. Community members who went to the scene say Thomas Mulaudzi was shot multiple times with a pistol and rifle.

The Vhembe district is grappling with incidents of gang-related killings. About six suspected gang members have been shot dead separately in the past few months.

19 suspected gang members linked to cash-in-transit robberies were also gunned down during a shoot-out with police in Louis Trichardt in September.

Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says they are looking for Mulaudzi’s killers. “The police received an alert about the shooting incident at Malamulele, on their arrival they found a male victim on the ground with multiple bullet wounds all over his body.

“He was later identified as Mulaudzi Thomas Sidwell of Khakhanwa village. Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Bilankulu Abe on the number 082319 9724 or criminal number 0860010111 or the nearest Police or my SAPS App.”
