The defence lawyer the Senzo Meyiwa case, Zandile Mshololo says one of the accused was not present when the soccer star was murdered in Vosloorus in October 2014.
Five men are on trial in the High Court in Pretoria for Meyiwa’s murder.
Meyiwa was at the home of his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg when he was gunned down.
Mshololo referred to a picture taken outside a hostel in Johannesburg on the day of the Meyiwa’s murder.
She says, “The accused version is that, that picture was taken in George Goch hostel at 17:28, on 26 October 2014.”
Constable Sizwe Zungu says he never said he’d seen the accused at about 17h28, but that he’d seen him much earlier and later than that.
