Addressing a media briefing on Sunday, EFF leader Julius Malema says those who believe that he somehow exerted his will upon the delegates, are wrong.

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says he is unsurprised that he was elected unopposed to be the party’s president for another five years.

On Saturday night, the 3 800 delegates at the EFF’s National People’s Assembly chose a new top six for the party, of which Malema and his deputy Floyd Shivambu were returned to their positions.

Addressing a media briefing on Sunday, Malema says those who believe that he somehow exerted his will upon the delegates, are wrong.

“Me being elected unopposed, or all the time elected unopposed is very simple… I work hard, I don’t take anything for granted. You give me [a task] I will work on it and perfect it. I pay attention to the smallest detail. I know everything that is happening in this conference. Even if you want to hate me, you will come accept that no, but it does not matter what we think of him. So I am not a dictator, I am a hard worker,” explains Malema.

Watch proceeding at the conference below:
