Limpopo records two cholera cases

Two cholera cases have been detected in Musina and Senwabarwana in Limpopo. Provincial Health Department spokesperson Neil Shikwambana says the positive cases were detected at the Musina and Helena Franz hospitals.

The patients, both Zimbabwean men aged 43 and 27, had been admitted at the two hospitals upon their return from the festive season holidays. Shikwambana is calling on members of the public to use safe hygiene practices all the time.

“We can confirm the two cases one in Musina hospital in Vhembe district and the other one in Helena Franz hospital in the Capricorn district. The health department calls upon the community members to remain calm and vigilant, we also want to request them to continue with safe hygiene practices as washing of hands, consuming clean drinking water and also eat properly cooked food all material times.”
