The Gautrain bus service has been temporarily suspended ahead of a workers’ strike which is expected to begin on Thursday.
Gautrain spokesperson Kesagee Nayager says the workers’ demands are not clear at this stage.
“Due to the unplanned labour action the gautrain bus service has been temporarily suspended until further notice. We are urging passengers to please make alternate travel arrangements and we will provide regular updates. At this stage we’re not clear as to what the actual cause of this is but what we can confirm is that we’re currently engaging with the union reps to determine what the actual demands are.”
