Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader Julius Malema says the party’s councillors in one of the big metros in the country will soon remove a Democratic Alliance (DA) mayor to demonstrate that they are not friends with the DA.
Malema addressed hundreds of party supporters in Westerburg, Polokwane on Saturday.
He says the EFF is determined to demonstrate its power.
“We are not friends with the DA; we are voting with them in a few municipalities, it does not make us friends… very soon we must remove one mayor of DA just for control, we must demonstrate to DA that we are not friends with them and we know very well who they represent.”
