A man suspected of murdering his seven-year-old daughter and nine-year-old nephew in Dutywa in the Eastern Cape is set to appear in court on Monday.
The two children were murdered on Friday.
Police spokesperson Siphokazi Mawisa says the 27-year-old suspect handed himself over to the community who summoned the police.
It is alleged that the man confessed to the community.
Mawisa says the murders were preceded by an argument between the suspect and his mother who left for her house after the argument.
She was then informed police of the murders the next morning.
Mawisa says police are investigating two counts of murder.
