Patricia de Lille says it is now time for South Africans to demonstrate that they can rise above party political differences

GOOD Party leader Patricia de Lille says she is deeply honoured and humbled to serve as a minister in South Africa’s new Cabinet.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed De Lille as Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure.

I am deeply honoured and humbled to have received the call to serve as a Minister of South Africa’s new cabinet. I have fought for justice in our country for more than 40 years and have no plans to give up fighting.

— Patricia de Lille (@PatriciaDeLille) May 29, 2019

De Lille recently formed the GOOD Party following her resignation as Cape Town Mayor as a result of a fall-out with the Democratic Alliance (DA).

She says she has fought for justice for more than 40 years and has no plans to stop now.

She has pledged to continue to lead her party and strive for a responsible, accountable and compassionate government.

De Lille says it is now time for South Africans to demonstrate that they can rise above party political differences.
