The Democratic Alliance (DA) has given the African National Congress (ANC) until today to hand over all the outstanding documents related to cadre deployment as directed by the Constitutional Court.
The DA last week threatened to launch a contempt of court application to force the ANC to hand over more documents from its cadre deployment committee meetings.
DA Leader, John Steenhuisen, told a media briefing in Cape Town, that they would also institute a criminal case against ANC Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula, whom he accused of seeking to hide President Cyril Ramaphosa’s involvement in the cadre deployment saga.
He said they would not abandon it.
“As we move forward, we are going to make sure that we deploy comrades who are capable. Our cadre deployment policy is about appointing suitable and qualified people who share our transformation vision.”
