The chairperson of the newly promoted side, Polokwane City Football Club Johnny Mogaladi says his team will need support from the people of the province to remain in the elite league for a long time.

Polokwane City FC have returned to the Premier Soccer League after being relegated two seasons ago.

They have defeated Pretoria Callies FC 4-0 to gain automatic promotion.

Mogaladi says Limpopo cannot afford to have the same teams being relegated and promoted every season.

He says, “We need them, we need their support, we need their encouragement, we need to build this team together. It belongs to everyone of Limpopo, rise and shine. We need help, I can’t do it alone, the teams in Durban, they are supported by their municipality. We don’t get that but our stadiums are rented to other people who don’t belong to this province.”
