The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) says the party’s final bid to appeal the ruling ordering it to hand over its cadre deployment records to the Democratic Alliance (DA) was never about hiding anything.
On Monday, the Constitutional Court dismissed with costs the ruling party’s final bid to appeal.
The ANC is currently left with four working days to hand over its cadre deployment records to the DA.
ANCYL spokesperson Zama Khanyase says, “It was never a case of maybe there is something big that we are hiding. It was the matter of the ANC saying, hang on we are an organisation, we have our own internal processes, why would an opposition be so obsessed about wanting to know what we discuss in our internal spaces as an organisation?”
