Reading Time: < 1 minute

Western Province Rugby has stopped all schools rugby training and matches as well as all club and community rugby training and matches with immediate effect until the 14th of next month.

WP Rugby has also suspended all face to face general council meetings until then.

WP rugby president Zelt Marais says the measures were brought into place after President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s announcement that the coronavirus outbreak has been declared a national disaster.

The measures include that all schools rugby training and matches for both High and Primary School Associations will be stopped immediately.

Critical General Council meetings might be done by Teleconference; educational documents will be distributed to all Clubs and Associations.

And all self-isolation, quarantine and medical care guidelines must be implemented as per the World Health Organisation, The President’s Measures, Department of Health and NICD.
