Two foreign nationals arrested for alleged possession of explosives

Two foreign nationals have been arrested for the alleged possession of explosives in Thohoyandou, Limpopo.

The suspects are from Zimbabwe and were about to board a bus to Gauteng.

The explosives are worth over R2 million.

The Hawks spokesperson Matimba Maluleke says they received a tip-off about the two women.

Maluleke says: “We received a tip off about two women from Zimbabwe who were in possession of explosives destined to Gauteng. We then followed it up arrested them.

“They are expected to appear in the Thohoyadou Magistrate’s court on Thursday on unlawful possession of fire arms and contravention of the emigration act.”
