Residents at Rosedale in Upington in the Northern Cape have given police 12 hours to remove foreign nationals from their town.
Community members went on a rampage Wednesday night, damaging houses and shops of foreigners.
This after the killing of a police officer, allegedly at the hands of a foreign national in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The residents claim that the foreign nationals sell drugs.
Police used rubber bullets to disperse the crowd and arrested several people.
