Chairperson of the Isipingo Taxi Association has been gunned down in Umlazi south of Durban. The 69-year-old was shot whilst driving with his children in the area.
He died upon arrival at a local hospital.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Spokesperson Jay Naicker says no arrests have been made. He says investigations are underway.
“We are investigating a case of murder. It’s alleged that this afternoon around 15hrs, a 69-year-old man was traveling in J Section in uMlazi when he was attacked by unknown suspects when they opened fire. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was taken to a local hospital for medical attention where he died upon arrival. Police at uMlazi are currently investigating the incident.”
