ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has defended his administration’s fight against corruption.

He says all ANC members implicated in corruption will be dealt with by the judiciary without fear or favor.

Ramaphosa was speaking during an ANC election campaign in Diepsloot north of Johannesburg on Thursday morning.

The IEC has received objections against the inclusion of 30 people, five of them ministers on the ANC lists to parliament and the provincial legislatures.

These are people whose names were mentioned in different commissions of inquiry.

Ramaphosa says he is confident the law will kick in if there is any wrongdoing by the members.

He says, “We live in a country that is underpinned by the rule of law. We also live in a country that has democratic practices in various institutions. In the ANC those people were elected to be on that list, but at the same time in the country there is a rule of law.”

“If anyone has done anything that is wrong the rule of law kicks in and they will be dealt without fear, favour or prejudice.”
