Delegates at the ANC Gauteng Provincial General Council have entered the final stretch of a closed session of various commissions on Saturday. Commissions divided into that of Governance, Peace, Health, Education, Communications and of International Relations have been fine tuning policy documents to be taken to the national elective conference, as mandate from Gauteng.
It is expected the province will announce it’s preferred candidates for the party’s national leadership . Sources at the PGC say ANC Treasurer-General Zweli Mkhize, who addressed the council Friday night, might be announced as the province’s preferred deputy president, with Cyril Ramaphosa as party president.
