Sacked Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Patricia de Lille has called on the party leadership to provide evidence about the corruption allegations against her.

This comes after De Lille’s membership in the DA was revoked on Tuesday. She is being accused of undue influence particularly in appointing city manager, Ahmed Ibrahim, and failing to exercise her duties as City of Cape Town mayor.

“I am challenging DA leadership today, I will avail myself anytime from 12 o’clock, and we can sit with all of those, work through them in an open public meeting with the media. I have been asking for specific details around all of these allegations for the past six months. They are repeating the very same nonsense. I have gone as far to court, two months before the 3 of May, the court ordered the DA to provide me with records and evidence of the Stuinhuisen report. They failed to produce any evidence,” says De Lille.
