Another senior ANC official has been shot dead in eMpembeni near eSikhaleni in Richards Bay on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast.
Sifiso Mlambo, a branch secretary came under attack from unknown assailants while on his way home on Wednesday night.
Regional secretary Tholi Gwala says Mlambo succumbed to wounds at a local clinic.
He says party officials will visit Mlambo’s home on Thursday to convey their condolences to his family.
Mlambo’s death follows that of ANC councillor in Jozini, Njabulo Dlamini on New Year’s day in Richards Bay.
