ANC NEC members arrive at Madikizela-Mandela’s home

African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) members have arrived at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s home in Orlando West, Soweto. This is part of the activities planned to mourn the death of the struggle icon who passed away on Monday.

Thursday is the second day of the 10 day mourning period. The ANC top will pay their respects to the family.

ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule elaborates on some of the activities of the day.

“Today’s activities will also include the Solomon Mahlangu Memorial Lecture at the University of Pretoria’s Mamelodi Campus and the Bursary Gala Dinner at Freedom Park in Tshwane. This is to commemorate the hanging of Solomon Mahlangu by the apartheid government in 1979.”
