Police in Gauteng have arrested a woman who was allegedly seen pouring paraffin at the building that caught fire in the Johannesburg CBD on Sunday morning.
Two people were killed in the fire that broke out at the corner of Commissioner and Nugget streets.
Firefighters have managed to extinguish the blaze that ravaged through the two-storey building.
The Johannesburg EMS Spokesperson, Nana Radebe-Kgiba says, “Two bodies were found. More than 15 people were rescued from the roof and the balcony. Seventy-five families with plus 200 people that are displaced. Disaster management is on scene.”
