The 24th edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) is Live on SABC1 from 20:00 till 22:00 on Saturday at Sun City. SABC1 is a media and broadcast partner to the SAMA 24.
The SAMAs are the most premier music awards which have over the years brought nights of music, glitz and glamour to millions of viewers countrywide.
Choreographer Somizi Mhlongo will once again host the annual event this year. This marks his third time in a row.
Somizi will host together with television and radio personality Dineo Ranaka and comedian Mpho Popps.
The Awards recognise musical excellence across all genres including the various facets of the music industry profession.
Some of the highly contested categories of this edition of the event include Female Artist of the year, Male Artist of the year, Album of the Year and Newcomer of the year.
SABC1 and Motsweding FM will have a number of activations in and around Sun City, Rustenburg in North West leading to SAMA24 main event. The activations are meant for interacting with our viewers and listeners.
