The United Christian Democratic Party (UCDP) says government is not dealing decisively with corruption. The party launched its 2019 election manifesto in Ganyesa near Vryburg in the North West.

UCDP President Modiri Sehume says they are confident that the party will win the North West which is its stronghold.

He says their first task will be to deal with corruption and cadre deployment.

“The first task that we will do as the United Christian Democratic Party, we will cut it from the head. They say a fish rots from the head. The highest office must be exemplary. Not only exemplary; the society must know that there are consequences for corruption. The third thing is this thing of cadre deployment. You see, political space and administrative space, they must never be entwined. There must be a clear line. The state must perform its functions in a fair and professional manner without the interference of politicians,” says Sehume.
