The Leader of the United Christian Democratic Party Modiri Sehume says his party will surprise many in the North West by winning the province, come next month’s general elections. Sehume was leading his party’s election campaign in Mahikeng.

He says his party has cleansed itself of internal divisions and has reunited, which is a major boost for its campaign. Sehume, says they are confident of a win in North West.

“We are definitely going to have a good showing. You can see by the reaction of other parties that we are really making an impact. Their very keen interest in the happenings of the party makes us aware that we indeed make an impact. We are confident that we are doing the right thing. Our people are coming from all corners of the province to say, let us also participate in rebuilding this party. So, yes, we are confident we are going to show a major change. There’s going to be a major shift in the patterns or the number of seats that are allocated in the provincial legislature.”
