An earth tremor with an estimated 4.8 magnitude has hit several parts of Gauteng this morning.
It is believed that Boksburg in the east of Johannesburg is the epicenter.
However, this is yet to be scientifically confirmed.
The tremor was felt at about 2:38 this morning. And it lasted about 20 seconds. Many people have taken to social media and posted videos and photos of the moment it hit with their homes shacking.
It is not clear yet if anyone has been harmed and the extent of the damage to properties.
