Eight years since former Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus, Ekhurhuleni, there is still no idea what exactly transpired that evening.
Amidst numerous delays, the matter has now resumed on Monday with a new presiding Judge after Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela fell ill and was subsequently suspended.
Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng is now presiding over the matter. The new trial will resume on Tuesday. The matter was postponed to allow the legal teams to hold a pre-trial conference.
Meyiwa was shot and killed in 2014 at the house of singer Kelly Khumalo mother. Five men are on trial for the murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain.
Since his death there has been multiple delays with the arrests of suspects and trial delays.
