Three suspects have been arrested in Pienaarsrivier outside Bela-Bela in Limpopo for possession of drugs estimated at R 500 000.
The suspects are reported to be foreign nationals.
The Police Spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba says officers confiscated heroine after they found the suspects distributing it.
Ledwaba says, “According to reports, police received information about suspicious vehicles. A white Kia Cereto and a white Hyundai i10, both with Gauteng province registration numbers – were positively spotted and stopped by the police. The motor vehicles with three males were searched, and police discovered a quantity of heroin drugs with an estimated street value of R500,000.”
“The trio were then arrested on the spot for dealing in drugs, and both motor vehicles used for the commission of the crime were also seized. The suspects are expected to appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrates’ Court soon, facing charges of dealing in drugs.”
