Four people including a child have been killed in a crash involving three vehicles on the N11 between Ladysmith and Newcastle in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
KwaZulu-Natal emergency medical services spokesperson Robert McKenzie says paramedics treated six occupants at the scene.
“There has been a serious crash on the N11 highway between Ladysmith and Newcastle in northern KZN. The crash involved 3 light motor vehicles and tragically 4 people have sustained fatal injuries in this crash. One of the deceased victims is a child. The exact cause of the crash is not known as this stage and is being investigated by police.”
The six occupants are recovering in hospital and police are investigating the cause of the crash.
