Slain Free State High Court Acting Judge Mamello Thamae is to be buried in Bloemfontein today.
Her body was repatriated from Lesotho to South Africa yesterday.
Thamae’s body was discovered in the boot of a car by the Lesotho Mounted Police after she was reported missing.
Thamae has been described in the legal sphere as a dedicated professional who left an imprint in the law profession, and who served the profession with dignity and diligence.
Her estranged husband is suspected of killing her. He is currently in custody in Lesotho and will appear in court again on Monday.
