Chairperson of the South African Communist Party (SACP) at the Philip Hadebe District in Kanyamazane in Mpumalanga, Sipho Siwela, has called on their members to take part in the fight against the killing of people with albinism.
This after he led a march aimed at raising awareness against the killing of people with albinism.
Siwela says as the SACP they have other programmes aimed at educating the residents about the importance of protecting people with albinism.
“The communist party has a programme that we call ‘Know your neighbour’ so every time members of the party participate in that programme we educate and we campaign in different organisations like churches. We believe that that is the only way that these people are saved, but also bring education to different societies that we have.”
