Basic Education Minister, Angie Motshekga, has announced that all South African primary schools and schools for learners with special needs, will return to daily attendance from July the 26th.

Motshekga says in the government gazette that this approach has been taken to minimise coronavirus (COVID-19) infections among learners.

Schools have also been instructed to ensure compliance with health and safety measures.

All contact sport, including competitive events and matches, will remain suspended.
