Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela says he was disappointed to see many innocent people being attacked and injured at the Moses Mabhida Stadium after Chiefs lost to Free State Star in April.
This was Komphela’s first public interview since he resigned from Amakhosi as head coach.
The soft spoken coach was interviewed on SABC’s Metro FM on Friday morning.
Although he came under fire during his tenure as chiefs’ coach, during the Fresh Breakfast show on Metro FM many people took to Twitter to express their love and support for Komphela.
Komphela who is a qualified teacher has in the past coached teams like Maritzburg United and Free State Stars.
The former Chiefs coach says he is busy writing a book which Twitter users say they can’t wait to get their hands on the much anticipated book.

Komphela who is often mocked because of his English proficiency says growing up in poverty stricken community has taught him to be a tough person that he is today.
He has been sharing some fond memories of how he was brought up as a young boy from the North West.
“I used to wake up at 3:30am to go to this farm house to milk the cows … because if you don’t go milk the cows you will die of hunger,” says the former Chiefs’ coach.
The charismatic coach had some advices for the ladies.
“Ladies, any man who keeps one car for long is an indication of a man who will keep one woman for long,” adds Komphela.
