President Cyril Ramaphosa has received a memorandum from the #TotalShutDown .

President Cyril Ramaphosa has apologised to protesters from the #TotalShutDown movement in Pretoria for arriving late to receive their memorandum.

The protesters earlier refused to leave the premises of the Union Buildings until the President addressed them. He promised to revert back to them on their demand to hold a woman summit before the end of the month.

The President has also emphasised the protection of the rights of women in the country.
