Ramaphosa admits ANC to blame for some of country’s problems

African National Congress (ANC) Presiden Cyril Ramaphosa has admitted that the party also has to take blame for some of the problems the country has been grappling with since it took over the reigns of government in 1994.

Addressing party supporters during the party’s election campaign at Citrusdal in the Western Cape on Saturday, Ramaphosa said this attitude of not voting by members of the party because they are unhappy about issues related to service delivery, needs to come to an end.

He says this is tantamount to the worse form of betrayal to one’s country.

“Some of the challenges that we are dealing with are challenges that belong to the past. Some of them are challenges that are some of the things that we have done wrong ourselves. And therefore it cannot be that when we counter problems, rather than solving the problem we then say we are not going to vote. Because that to me is tantamount to treason,” says Ramaphosa.
