North West police at Itsoseng are investigating an attempted murder case, following the shooting of an African National Congress (ANC) councillor in the Ditsobotla municipal council, Keke Mofokeng.
Mofokeng was inside his car when he was shot.
North West police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone says, “According to information available at this stage, the councillor was allegedly shot in the upper body and was taken to a health centre for medical treatment. However, he was later transferred to hospital. At this stage, no one has been arrested and investigation into the matter continues.”
