The Overstrand Municipality in the Western Cape says a fire near Pearly Beach is continuing to burn out of control.
Municipal Manager Dean O’Neill says there is no immediate danger to property.
He says no evacuation orders have been issued.
O’Neill says, “We did have some change in weather last night that brought some light drizzle but it was not enough to help with the blaze. The fire is approaching Pearly Beach and it continues to burn in difficult terrain. The alien vegetation is hampering the firefighting activities.”
